Hawai’i Images from December 2022
Keith (my husband) and I flew to Hawai’i (the big island) on December 10, 2022, to vacation for 12 days. We had hoped to arrive while Mauna Loa was erupting. It just wasn’t meant to be. The day we arrived was the day the eruption was over, and there was nothing left to see - not even a glow.
We stayed at a resort along Waikoloa Village’s shoreline, which is located on the arid western coast of the Island of Hawaii. From there we almost daily embarked on excursions that included a helicopter ride along the northern coast to see waterfalls, car travel to three national parks, and a bioreserve near Hilo.
Here are some of the images I captured while tooling around the island. Click on the images to get a closer look and to view in the correct aspect ratio.
