Montevideo, Uruguay

Our visit to Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, included architectural sites. The interior of the marketplace with the clock tower is visibly hazy with dust. Three of the images in this posting are of interior public spaces in the Legislative Palace of Uruguay. The tall building, of which there are two images, is the Placio Salva, designed by the Italian architect Mario Planti. Finally, I could not resist the opportunity to capture an abstract composition from inside the more modern Executive Tower, which houses the executive branch of Uruguay’s government.
