La Boca

La Boca is a barrio of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Historically, La Boca was home to a large population of immigrants from Europe and Asia due to its close proximity to the port. Today, tourists are drawn to La Boca for its brightly colored houses, restaurants and stores. Outside of the tourist area, the neighborhood is poor, prone to petty thievery, and tourists are advised to visit during the daytime only. Photography comes easy in this part of Buenos Aires.
